A BRIDGE TOO FAR

Well, that wasn’t very good was it? I truly believe supporting this club with Wenger at the helm has shortened my life considerably to the point where I sit here now, a twenty year old man with the health of a ninety year old alcoholic smoker who was a recreational asbestos sniffer!

I just can’t understand Arsene’s logic at the moment; we were the superior team on Sunday, not defensively but in every other aspect we were better. The only difference, our nemesis, Drogba!

He had Vermaelen and Gallas in his pocket from the first whistle, add to that some shoddy defending from an increasingly poor looking Clichy and you’ve got the recipe for two soft goals and an afternoon where it looked as though Drogba could go on a six goal rampage after twenty minutes.

Had we had Didier Drogba in our line-up we could quite easily have won four or five nil with the volume of ‘nearly’ moments we had.

After the game Le Boss said he felt we ‘deserved’ to win the game…yeah…but we didn’t…did we? At the end of the season they don’t add up, nearly points! Or should have points! Or deserved points! Or points for how pretty you play!

We beat them on every statistic, possession, corners, shots, shots on target, all except for the most important – the one that read Chelsea 2-0 Arsenal.

Whilst I agree with Wenger the title isn’t ‘completely’ dead, I do feel it’s all but over for us this year. I do however disagree with him on nearly every other count.

Bendtner is not good, at all. But I would have played him between Arshavin and Nasri instead of relying on a five foot seven Russian who likes playing off the striker, not being him!

In my OPINION Arsene has lost us the title this year by not slashing out for a big, powerful striker in January. It’s our most urgent requirement, and I don’t think Chamakh is the answer to our prayers from his stats and what I’ve seen.

I’d be more interested in ‘Super’ Mario Balotelli from what I can see. 19 years old, 6ft 2 ½ inches tall. An absolute powerhouse of a player with a Drogba style free kick and great aerial awareness, he’s regarded as the finest striker in Italy at the moment.

And when talk circulated during the summer about him he said he would love a move to a high profile English club and praised Arsene Wenger’s eye for players.

He’s valued at £15-18 Million and for a striker aged 19, that’s pretty good, still ready to be shaped.

Almunia is a disaster and Fabianski isn’t much better, a good keeper is needed – scratch that a world class keeper. Compare our lot to Cech or Van Der Sar or even Reina and you see the problem.

But we’ve all sat around and said this before, but if Wenger won’t hear it we might as well be grating our weary heads against the walls of the trophyless Emirates Stadium.

The summer needs to be our debriefing time, and no one should be exempt, not even Wenger. Some players like Fabregas have shown their value this year and I feel that his award of a £120 000 a week contract is justified.

But players like Denilson and Walcott need to be shown the door, as does Bendtner and Almunia in my opinion. Rake in as much money for these flops as you can and add that to the stockpile of cash Wenger already has from record profits and player sales.

But I grow weary of this game, of hearing ‘transition’ and ‘development’, Arsene has already come out this week and asked us to be patient…again.

BS decoder: We’re not going to win anything guys.

Well enough is enough. Either put up or shut up. Walk into the 10/11 season with freshly bought in players, or walk out of the Emirates and thank you for your great service to the club.

I respect the hell out of Wenger, but Arsenal is turning into Arsene Wenger.

  • observations about the Chelsea game…..

Diaby is not a defensive midfielder. HE is tall, and his size is what was needed against Chelski and their midfield…Diaby played well I thought.

IT does not matter how much attacking play we had, we did not score. In fact, we have some MAJOR issues with attack I feel. Crossing the ball to a 5′6 make shift striker against the likes of the Chelsea defense is comical. Not going to work.

If we wanted to play this way, Bendtner should have started.

Plan B was to drive the ball literally right thru the middle…. threading the needle through 2-3 chelsea players. Not going to work…. how many times did you see us literally trying to force the issue here to have the ball intercepted? IT is so pathetic to see Arsenal pass the ball around the box over and over. No penetration and no ideas. Its almost comical.

I agree that the problem is that we do not have a tall out and out striker. Our whole team supports the small midfield and forward we have. We push up too far and get beaten on the counter over and over. How many times were TV and WG up front? More than our midfielders!

Arsene is an ass for not buying an out and out striker. This team will never win and needs someone like TH again to keep the defense honest and also to be physical and fast.

Arsenal is too small. Litreally nasri, cesc, rosicky, denilson, arshavin, walcott sagna and clichy are under 5′9.

That is ridiculous. We need a new striker… world class. We need a new attitude with players willing to do anything on the pitch. There are a few that come to mind… Gallas, Vermalen, Song and for the most part Cesc.

We need AW to give a real ass whipping to his players. He coddles them, protects them and is way too loyal to them. what does this all mean? It means, I can stink it up in a game and know that my manager will not do a darn thing… he may not even talk to me!

I have been heartbroken like most of you all for a long time. each year its the same thing.. over and over again. All talk by AW….

We have the $$$… we need to use it. What the board and AW ass face do not get is that the fans are becoming very alienated and that is not a good thing for the club whatsoever….especially wenger and his players.

  • sorry for the double post…! Think I hit submit twice.

  • As long as AW still puts trust in his “chocolate Leg” strikers we fans are bound to suffer,AW thinks he know it all.Keeps playing with fans minds.

  • How weird is this season?
Everton beat Chelsea, Mancs Draw with Villa and we beat Liverpool.
madness. I wonder if Chelsea are going to start regretting their chances now, they really should have been miles in front at this point and the title could have been all but in the bag for them.
    Wankers

P.S Wolves beating Shittenham is just a lovely bonus. Harry needs to keep his mouth shut, the fat cunt.

  • Might be worth sticking Cesc in goal too, great save at the end there
