ARSENAL v MAN UTD: STARTING LINE UP AND PREDICTION

After slipping from top of the table to third in the table in a week, we’ve proved that this league is anyones at the moment. Personally, I believe sitting behind Chelsea and Man Utd at this stage of the season is good for Arsenal as it eases the pressure off us, but still puts in a great position to nick the top slot anytime.

We face Man United tomorrow at home, and it’s not looking good on the injury front for Arsenal. We have some fresh injuries from the likes of Vermaelen, Vela and Eduardo. Song and Eboue are struggling with tiredness after returning from the ACN, but I’ve got no doubt Song will have to start and will.

Sol Campbell will start is first Premiership game since returning to the club, and a lot of the limelight will be focused on him, and how he is going to handle Rooney, who is on the form of his life at the moment. Rooney doesn’t rely on pace, and I’ve got no doubt Campbell will cope with him.

The full match preview can be found here.

I think Wenger will go for the following starting line-up:

Almunia

Sagna     Gallas     Campbell     Clichy

Song

Denilson     Fabregas

Rosicky     Diaby

Arshavin

Regarding the match prediction. To be perfectly honest, I have no idea what scoreline I’m going to predict. I think Man United will score, and I’m going to go for a thrilling 3-2 win for Arsenal. Goals from Arshavin, Fabregas and Diaby.

  • MON is an appalling insult to football in general. he probably got about 40 inches vert leap so he should go try dunking not coaching

  • sexyboy, what are you on about??

2-0 to Arsenal. Fabregas and Arshavin. Go on the Arsenal.

  • martin oneil is an idiot. i just saw him now pull out of a restaurant in birmingham called metro bar and grill

  • Diaby still in calf problem, is’nt it?
2-0 it would be good for arsenal
    v for us

  • i’ll just take a win! and in my heart of hearts probably even a draw.

things have calmed a bit between us and them post patrick/roy which isn’t such a bad thing tbh.

and sir alex/aw seem to have formed a mutual respect – and so they should.

i really hope diaby and song play —– and i expect nick to come off the bench in the second half.

  • I think Diaby has been out for two weeks and Wenger clearly stated that he would miss the Man Utd game but would probably be fit to play Chelsea so in his place i would play Nasri.

  • akaino,arshavin,fabregas.diaby,,,

  • i think song and sol will bully Rooney off the park.
diaby is still injured and so i think it will be bendtner up front and i hope nasri plays instead of Denilson

  • i knows diaby, arshavinand fabregas will score and rooney will also score 4 them the scores will be 3-1

  • Arsenal should use Song and Diaby as attacking midfielders and use Capie Fabregas & Denilson if not Nasri. well go Arsenal go!! and proof to Fergie that the first leg was due to favour form the ref. Give us 2-1 win.

  • Please no more Denilson to weak

  • I blv in rooney ,valencia & nani ,rooney wuld score 4,& the rest six wuld com 4rm oda players.Scores 10-1 against arsenal.

  • bade the gooner

Nick aint fit yet for 90 mins. so i will go with revolutionary starting line up with a 4-2-1-3 (or even 4-2-1-2-1) formation (actually we play it a lot it is easy to convert from 4-3-3

    Almunia
    Sagna-Gallas-Vermaelen (if not fit, Campbell)-Clichy
    Eboue Song
    Fabregas
    Rosicky Nasri
    Arshavin

At the beginning of the second half we should launch Nick and get out either Nasri or Rosicky depending on their form in the 1st half.

Why to choose Eboue? he rested a lot in the ACN (red card), he is a great penetrator & can help song to hold midfield & let Fabregas fly. notice that the most powerful part at united is the solid midfield (Fletcher, Carrick, Anderson, Scholls).

I’m pretty sure we will win it & will win at Chelsea too. wont be easy but 2-1 will do

  • OLADOSU OLUWATODIMU

GUNNERS IS GUNNING ANY MODAFUCKER TEAM

  • 1-1 tomorrow. Rooney for Man U and Arshavin for Arsenal.

  • ello u lot, im gonna say this, because i truely believe it: THEO WALCOTT HAS TO PLAY AGAINST UNITED, HE HAS THE PACE TO GET IN BEHIND, AND THE ONLY PERSON WITH THE TALENT TO REPLACE THIERRRRYY HENRRYYYY. GIVE HIM A CHANCE, AND I HAVE NO DOUBT HE WILL RAPE UNITED :)
    COME ON U GOONEEERS

  • Jack Staniforth

You don`t play catch up with Manchester United so I expect Wenger to go for an early goal, that means Bendtner, Arshavin and probably Rosicky up front.
Song is back so Denilson will warm the bench and with Fabregas and Diaby (if fit) will form the mid field. Nasri could be involved.
The back four is standard apart from the inclusion of Sol Campbell. The gloves of course will go to Almunia.

  • Jack Staniforth

One further thing. Arsenal are slow starters, something that should have been eradicated by now, and United know it so the defence has to hold for at least the first thirty minutes until they get their act together. Hopfully they all went to bed early.

  • After so many sunday league performances Denilson is still chosen. He’s not good enough for top flight football.Honestly,I dont think he’s good enough to play for any other team in the top flight. He could only play for Arsene who reward players for fucking rubbish performances week after week. The reason for that is because he doesnt want to get anyone else. The person who brought Denilson to Arsenal should be beaten severely for picking Denilson out of all the players in Brasil.

United is a very good side. They have a great deal of players with individual skills who can do the damage too. But usually against Arsenal I do not fear them because they are not superior and possibly not better technically than my boyz. Only one thing I fear so much when playing United and that is OFFICIATION. In rescent years Man U enjoys a lot of peference and the believe that they could get away with most of their fouls and tackles makes them more aggressive on the field of play. One thing am hoping for come tomorrow, is a levelled playing field. The contact which earned United a penalty against us three times of a more harsh contact couldnt earn Fabregas one penalty against Bolton…..DONT KNOW WHY?

  • Here is the line up guys.Diaby is injured.Theo should not play so is vela, very disappointing performance from the two recently.
    Almunia
    Sagna Gallas Sol Clinchy
    Song Fabulous Denilson
    Bendy Arshavin Nasri

  • The problem of Arsenal is this wenger haven’t got enough of talented players, look at what happen on Arsenal against Barca, Fabregas got injury and there is no body to substute him, Likewise Totham
Arsenal need a goalkeeper, good defender and also strikers and will be waiten for another one to recover, how do you thin he will got into injury before recovery of another one. i will, because he will became a target. “a tree cannot make a desert” let wenger reason well. buy players for next season. we don’t want to follow any club again let the follow us: Gospel Lagos (08057835855, 07081014560). Gospel Lagos, please i want to remind wenger that fans where not happy, of not buying players, look at how we pray to win without confidence. i pray that wenger will think posture. Arsenal fans are no more wearing jerseys when there is match between Arsenal and another club what a shame Gunners fan mourning, we where unhappy. when looking the future of our club, i see the same stories no sign of change. what is happening tell us whatever holds you, that enough is enough.
