Aston Villa seem to have gained the lead in the chase to sign Leeds United wonderkid Fabian Delph, after the two clubs agreed a fee.
I’ve not seen Delph at all, but from all accounts he seems to be a special talent, and one which Arsene Wenger would thrive on nurturing.
After stealing Aaron Ramsey from under the noses of Man United, and Walcott from a host of English club, I wouldn’t be surprised if Wenger jumps in with a last minute bid to sign the youngster.
He’s not what we need right now, but I’d settle for anything at this current rate, and he does sound like a gem.

Shame we missed out on Delph. It’s always nice to capture little gems, even if we have no idea what they’re like and they’re not going to get a game for 2-3 years!!
