KOLO TOURE COMPLETES MAN CITY MOVE

Kolo Toure has finally completed his move to free spending Manchester City for an undisclosed fee, believed to be £15m.

It’s sad to see Toure finally leave Arsenal, but £15m for a 28-year-old who has been on a downward slope for the last two seasons or so is good business for us.

I don’t think anybody can accuse Toure of the same money-grabbing antics as Adebayor, as Toure never engineered a move away from Arsenal, it was Wenger who decided to sell.

I’d like to wish Toure the best of luck at Manchester City, and I really do hope he discovers his form of old.

Wenger has at least £40m to spend from the sales of Adebayor and Toure alone, and let’s hope he spends a majority of it on a top quality defensive midfielder and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

  • The board won’t release it until Arsenal get through CL qualification.
If we fail then they will take the 40 Million to supplement the loss.
Doesn’t matter though, if we qualify, Wenger will have almost 60 Million Pounds to spend after Eboue and Senderos sales.
If we do fail to qualify, Alisher Usmanov has already said he will remian silent unless we appear weak in the qualification, if we do he will force a takeover with Lady Nina looking to sell her 19% shares at the end of August anyway.
I believe if this were to happen he would have the support of the Arsenal fans as we would see this as the final insult from Gazidis and his ilk.
Usmanov could be a breath of fresh air. He already said he would liek to give Wenger around 70 Million Pounds through various rights issues etc. That would mean with sale money added Wenger would ahve 130 Million Pounds to spend.
We all know he wouldn’t spend it, he wouldn’t even spend half of it but he could still aquire some talented experienced players. De Rossi, Heitinga, Hangeland, Huntelaar, Ronhaar, Balabastaar, Vucinic, Mexes, A. Santos, Yaya Toure, Blase Matuidi, Sakho, Ben Afra, Inler.
After yet another Exodus away from Arsenal has left us feeling empty it would be nice for a river of talent to flow into the club and provide us with options as a club…for once. My ideal starting 11 with Usmanov is power would be, Almunia, Sagna, Gallas, Mexes, Clichy, Arshavin, Fabregas, De Rossi, Rosicky, v.Perise, Eduardo.
With subs, Nasri, Song, Vucinic, Balabastaar, Ronhaar, Hangeland, Matuidi, Santos, Yaya Toure, Ben Afra, Vucinic and Heitinga.
That would be a world class starting eleven. No more investment would be needed in Arsenal for years with these palyers.

  • Dude on the top is absolutely lost a few marbles?our team under Usmanov are ou for reals mate???

  • Yeah ‘mate’.
Because what wenger has been trying hasn’t worked. 4 years barren anyone?!
We need money, to blindly say that not spending makes us morally superior is ridiculous, we still lose.
Its like, refusing to pick up the gun in a duel and condone violence. Great, you have the moral highground…you’re still gonna get shot though!

  • Supercesc, love that theory :)
Vieira linked with us today on a one year pay-per-play deal. Would we be happy with that? I bloody would! He’s only 32 or so, its not like he’s 38. Get him in.
