ARSENAL LOSING TOURE IS NOT A BAD THING

When I first heard about the news that Man City were in the hunt for Kolo Toure, I was a little bit surprised, and a little bit upset to think that we may be losing our current longest serving player. Thinking about it though, he’s been bad for the last 2 seasons, and we shouldn’t hold on to him just because we believe he is Arsenal through and through.

Gallas was to blame when things weren’t going great defensively, but there is no doubt in my mind that Gallas is the one man to dig Arsenal out when our backs are against the walls. He is the defender we must keep hold of.

With last seasons supposed rift between Gallas and Toure, we all believe Wenger would kick Gallas out and keep Toure. How wrong we were.

Vermaelen could be an ideal replacement for Toure, and with approximately £40m to spend after the sale of Adebayor and Toure, I would like to see us sign Huntelaar, and another two players, defender and defensive midfielder. With Toure gone, we still have Gallas, Vermaelen, Djourou and Song to step in though, and Wenger may just spend big on a striker and defensive midfielder.

Toure has been a legend at Arsenal, and he’s got a great attitude, but it’s probably time to move on. We will miss him, but not that much.

  • Very few players are anything through and through these days。It’s the money that counts sometime or another。Some old supporters (dinosaurs)like me are all what is left of real faith。So Kolo ,the nice fella ,can sod off to Citeh if he wishes。I will not shed any tears for him, specially if he’s on 100 thou a week。

  • Money is the key. it is all about the bucks

  • My son told me to check out your blog and I must say I’m impressed, very helpful.

  • Not a bad thing as long as Wenger replaces him!
    Djourou is shit!
Song is a good back up.
Silvestre has no strength and looks slow and sluggish on the pitch. Come on guys! Why would Sir Alex sell us someone who was valuable to him?! Wake up!
If Wenger gets Hangeland or Mexes (or preferably both!) then it is a great deal!
Roma are in real, real financial trouble and are struggling to even renegotiate with players they have. We should hoover up, now!
De Rossi, 20mil and Denilson or Djourou
    Mexes 15mil
    Vinucic 17mil
I know thats 52mil, but we have to do something! My god we are going to arse raped this year otherwise.
But think about it. The board gave arsene around 20mil (supposedly) so he had 10 left after vaermelen.
Add 25mil from adebayor, that’s 35mil. another 15 from Toure, we’ve reached the magic 50!
Another 7-8 for eboue from Fiorentina. 58mil and another 6mil from senderos. That’s a whoping 64million pounds of money made from player sales!
We could have surplus to buy Matuidi and Hangeland as well!
Now imagine if the board had passed the rights issue last week.
    64mil+70mil= 134million pounds! WOWZAH!
    GK= Almunia
    DEF= Sagna, Gallas, Hangeland/Mexes Clichy
MID= Walcott, Fabregas, De Rossi, Nasri/Rosicky
    ATT= Arshavin, Eduardo
SUBS=Vicuinic, v.Perise, Nasri/Rosicky, Hangeland/Mexes, Silvestre, Vela, Song, Fabianski, Gibbs, Matuidi
That is a shit hot side and we would come out having not made any money, but not lost any either!
I believe that would be a great swap.
    OUT=
    Adebayor, Eboue, Toure, Senderos
    IN=
De Rossi, Vicuinic, Mexes, Hangeland, Matuidi

  • Hangeland is not very good people. He would not suit Arsenal at all. Too slow.
Mexes was good when he was about 18, he’s not that great anymore.
Djourou is shit? I think you’re buzzing mate. He’s a quality centre back for his age.

  • It would be bad to lose Toure, but on the other hand we have better options so why not?

  • Arsenal Boleh

Toure is a great player… BUT His ATTITUDES is for sure really BAD, BAD and BAD about his history at Arsenal FC since his first time joins Arsenal FC. His ATTITUDES same as ADEBAYOR, LOVE MONEY than LEGEND.

  • Arsenal Boleh

As a supporter for aged, we all known how love we are to the Arsenal FC. BUT, I am no understand why some of the players easily move from the club to the our rival?
    The questions are…

Are there really love to player for Arsenal? Or, Our club just become a “STEPPING STONE” for several players that his ATTITUDES like ADEBAYOR, TOURE ..or may be we should make an analysist about this issue. I feels some of the player dont have loyalty or die hearted to the club. That why

The Arsenal management should give a lesson to a player how to give respected the history of the club like Arsenal FC.

  • It’s not a question of respect or love. You cannot teach a footballer respect, let’s face it the majority of players aren’t exactly going to get into mensa!
It’s all about money, that’s why when you get a rich owner it’s not just about how much you offer up front, but like City it’s what wages you are able to offer.
It’s all about wages now, not even the initial fee so much.
So if Arsenal and City went in for Mexes we could both offer around 15 million (even though City would up it) but as we offer 50 000 to 60 000 pounds a week City would offer 120 000 a week.
Wenger now has at least 41 million pounds (25 Million Ade and 16 Million Toure).
He HAS to INVEST it ALL!!!
The board have to keep their grubby little fingers off of it, and if anything add to that money.
It would be nice to see both of our potential future owners Kronke and Usmanov adding to the pot, if they put 20 Million in each, which would be like loose change for these two they could win the love of the fans.
The Arsenal board are greedy, grubby and shady. They want the cash injection of Champions League football but they don’t want to invest in the club. as far as they are concerned a top four finish is a success even without a trophy.
It’s about time we as fans told them enough is enough, we pay the ticket price, we fill the ground, we offer support, we buy merchandise, we follow the team over Europe, we subscribe to Arsenal.com. It’s about team we realsied we are what’s important at this club and should speak up.
Wenger needs to spend about 60 Million Pounds on the likes of Hangeland, De Rossi, Mexes, Huntelaar, Vucinic etc.
I doubt it though. I bet the board takes the money, 41 Million from the two City sales. The other 15 Million from 8mil Eboue and 7mil Senderos.
They’ll take the 56 Million and ingest it, talking about debt and economib sustainability. Even though the promised faithfully in May that if Wenger raised cash from player sales, not only would he be allowed to spend it ALL, but they would also supplement it adding 10-20 Million themselves. That’d be 66 Million or 76 Million. Perfect!
