The latest rumours are linking AC Milan to a £20m + Flamini bid for striker Adebayor.
If these rumours are true then I would take this all day long. I would take Flamini over Melo. He’s a proven Premiership player, and he would slot in nicely, no period of 6 months to get used to the Premiership.
So, if we had the choice of having £20m and Flamini, and losing Adebayor, over paying £15m for Melo and losing Eboue, I’d take the Flamini/Adebayor deal please. Leaves us with at least £20m to buy a quality striker. Also, I think Eboue is a decent squad player and he seems happy to sit on the bench and do a job when needed.
I would even be tempted to put in a bid for ex-Arsenal winger Aleksander Hleb. I know a lot of fans despise Hleb for leaving Arsenal, but I’ll tell you one thing, Hleb is different class. Hleb and Flamini back at Arsenal would be legendary.

Firstly, I really wanna get rid of Adebayor! Secondly, we really need a mid-field enforcer at Arsenal. So if AC Milan offers a Ade v Flamini + 20m deal, I would bite their hands off! Heck, even Adebayor for Flamini + £5-10m would be a great deal!! Ade is not worth more than £15-18m on his last year’s form and a DM of the class of Flamini would alone cost us no less than £12-15m.
As far is Hleb is concerned, he can sod off to Barca and warm the bench whilst enjoying his ice cream. For all his skills on the ball, that guy has no end product. And he is conniving and pathetic as a person!
Recently I’ve been hearing a lot of different reports with regard to Arsene Wengers summer transfer policy. Its obvious to all Arsenal fans that a few new faces are needed, but we seem to be making a hash of it.
Cesc is going to leave. Im sorry, I know we shouldnt say it, but we all know that if Madrid or Barce bid 40 mil for him, he’s gone, and I think its foolish to believe that such a bid will not arrive before the transfer window closes. So, with Cesc gone, who can we look to to create for us? Arshavin?? Unsettled. RVP?? Injury prone?? Ade?? Are you joking?!?! Theo?? Too inconsistent. So now we have a problem!!
It appears to me that currently there are a number of top quality players looking for a way out of Mr Perez’s grand plan @ Madrid. Robben, Van Der Vaart, Sneijder, Huntelaar, Huiguain etc all of which would, I believe, relish the chance to prove that they are still world class. A 30 million pound deal would see at least 2 of these players arrive, possibly even 3, and they would make a HUGE difference to the threat the side has.
Obviously we need to add a DM, Melo or Flammini prefferably…..or Both!! and a new CB, Tasci or Zapata seem the most likely……..again prefferably both!! That means we can ship out the dead weight (silvestre, eboue etc) and carry a big threat going forward.
If we don’t act quickly, some one else will, and this will cost us. City, United, Chelsea & Liverpool will all be well equipped next season to mount a challenge for the title, and without some serious investment we’ll be left behind!

Flamini left on a free cause he got offered more money at Milan then the contract Arsenal offered him. So him coming back is a possibility. Unlike Hleb he will never be excepted back.
Am not support the deal at all, i urge my prof. to forget about that. I want Adebayor to stay this coming season. The only thing we have to do is to keep our players, so that what happened last season should not repeat it self. I think out current crop of midfield is pretty good.
Hopefully we have an injury free season. With the likes of arshavin, fabregas, rosicky, walcott, nasri, song, denilson etc in midfield, playing better than last season I think we can do well.
I hate adebayor because he is a lazy oaf, but if he can pull his socks up and try hard, alongside RVP, vela (this guy is ace, other than his youth i cant put him wrong), eduardo, bender (not all that), we have a good striking force too.
Defensively we are crap, but then gallas was injured and his absence really affected us, with him back, and a few new fresh faces I think we can do well here too.
I still think we could do with some more players, but only a couple more in key places.
