I’ve never seen Matuidi play, but with 5 goals in just over 115 games, we can’t expect Blaise to be setting the Premiership alight from an attacking perspective. At 5ft 6in, I imagine him to be very much in the Lassana Diarra mould without the massive head. If he’s anything like Diarra, then I’d welcome him with open arms. Obviously from a footballing point of view, not his attitude.
What this could mean for Alex Song and Denilson, I do not know, but I sure as hell hope it means we’re getting rid of Daiby.

i think song is as good now as flamini was last year, however it seems that he gets tired from playing too many games in a row, so wenger sees him as a CB long term, like djourou.
i dont kno how good matuidi is, but i think we do need someone to come in because denilson is far from the finished article.
i kno he has talent, but we could use some extra competition. then again, we have coquelin coming through the reserves, who many are saying will be good enough very soon, so who knows if we need matuidi?!
You’re right, Denilson is far from the finished article. I don’t think Song is on par with Flamini just yet, but he is getting there. He has made massive improvements over the last year or two. Fair play to him.
