ARSHAVIN DEAL ON OR OFF? LET’S NOT PANIC

Firstly, let’s all not panic if we do not sign Andrei Arshavin from Zenit. I’m confident that we’ll sign Arshavin, but I don’t believe Wenger is focusing all of his attention on the player, and he will no doubt have a back-up plan if the deal falls through. Let’s face it, excellent attacking midfielders are coming out of our arseholes at the moment, and I’m sure if you looked hard enough you’ll find one somewhere. Whether it be the glove compartment or your pants draw, you’ll find one.

The latest reports are claiming that Arshavin is praying for a move to Arsenal, with the player quoted as saying he sees his future with Arsenal and ““My hopes now rest with God. Apart from him, nobody can help me”. To be fair, I don’t think his future entirely lies with God as Arsene Wenger could decide to pull the plug or the Zenit chairman could decide to accept the deal.

So let’s not worry Arsenal fans, if we miss out on Arshavin, then I’m sure Arsene will bid for another outstanding midfielder. The promising news is that Wenger is willing to spend big and go for an experienced player this time round, which the fans have been screaming for.

Shame Tottenhham got lucky tonight. Doesn’t matter as Man U will smash them to pieces in the final. They’ll be hoping they went out in the semi’s after that game.

My only worry is that someone like City might swoop in for him and give what Zenit are asking. Other wise im confident of getting him – he really wants to leave.

  3. Zenit

Latest is that Zenit are lowering the fee. Let’s see if it matches Arsenals vaulation because Wenger is not budging.

not sure what to believe, one report we’ve been rejected and one that we’ve been accepted. its clear zenit are playing hardball, and who blames them .
