Following on from Arsene Wenger’s press conference where he announced that he was confident of finalising the Arshavin deal within days, I’ve never felt so assured and confident about signing a player.

I don’t think there is any chance in the world that Wenger would announce that negotiations were on-going if he wasn’t confident of signing the player. Let’s hope it’s all wrapped up on the weekend.
Arshavin isn’t the priority right now, but let’s face it, who wouldn’t be happy to sign him regardless if you need him or not. I have never been so excited about signing a player since we signed Sol Campbell, and before that Dennis Bergkamp. He’s an established world class player, and we generally don’t sign them. To be honest, Rosicky was very exciting too.
Latest news on the Kaka to Man City rumours is that Milan may have accepted a £107m bid for the Brazilian. This is absolutely mental. How does a club like Man City get knocked back on Craig Bellamy for around £8m and Roque Santa Cruz for £15m or so, then decide to go for their third target for £107m!!!!

I guess with Rosicky persistently injured, alongside Walcott and the other younger players, adding Arshavin (whos end product is sensational) doesn’t exactly take anything away from Arsenal. I guess just like every other fan I am astounded that there’s no shield for the Gunner’s ropey back four being brought in, at least as a short term measure.
To be honest, I know Vieira went down from when he left, but I dont think Wenger ever really replaced him properly.
Looks like this could be fucked now that Kaka is staying at Milan, sky are saying city could be in for Arsharvin.
If he goes there then he’s not the sort of bloke we want at Arsenal,if he does want to come to us he can show a bit of spine like Kaka did and tell city to fuck off.
