If you believed the recent reports then you would be led to believe that Kolo Toure is destined to leave Arsenal in January and possibly head for Manchester City.
I’ve not really been taking these reports/rumours seriously as I’ve always believed Toure would be the last player you expect to leave Arsenal, and by all accounts I would have thought he would want to leave rather then being pushed.
Now, I’ve always been a huge fan of Kolo Toure, and he has the best attitude of any Arsenal player I’ve seen since I’ve been a fan, but the last couple of years he hasn’t been in the best of form and you do get the feeling that whilst Gallas has been to blame for every goal conceded, or bad result, that Toure has been getting off a little lightly.
Nobody has entirely sure if Toure has fallen out with Gallas, and Wenger is siding with the Frenchman, or whether Wenger just doesn’t fancy him and prefers Gallas, but either way we do look a lot more solid at the back when we have Gallas and Djourou together. I get the feeling that Toure and Djourou just wouldn’t work as they both lack a little bit of responsibility and this is something Gallas doesn’t mind taking on board.
If Kolo Toure does finally decide to leave Arsenal then I’m hoping Wenger has a pretty nifty centre back lined up to replace him. If he stays or goes, Toure will always be adored by Arsenal fans for his enthusiasm, attitude and willingness to give 100% (110% doesn’t exist, although some footballers seem to think it does).

Toure should not leave. He is the best central defender. Arsenal should buy at least 2 defenders, a midfielder and a striker. There should be another key man up front, someone who is like v.perise, as he is injury prone. Then arsenal will win the tittle.
