I’m sticking my neck out and I’m going to predict Arsenal sign Michael Owen in January in time to join us for next season.
Owen’s contract is up in the summer, and I can’t see him sticking with Newcastle, and if he did he would’ve signed a contract already. Arsene Wenger has always spoken of his admiration for Owen, but the asking price and the injury proneness of the player has always been an issue. I think Wenger will do all he can to get Owen for free. He’s at a good age and he’s just the sort of finisher we have been screaming out for in a while. He may not be the best footballer in the world, but there is no doubt the boy can finish.
I sense Chelsea will be trying to sign him if Drogba decides to leave, and Man United may be involved depending on what happens with the Tevez saga. I can’t see Owen wanting to sign for any other club, and I can’t see Liverpool wanting or needing him.
Some people may be of the opinion that a striker is the last thing we need, but I just don’t think Bendtner is good enough, and it’s probably a little too early for Vela. Ideally, we would have Adebayor, van Persie, Eduardo and Owen.
I’ve never been a fan of Owen, but I would be a fan if he was at Arsenal! I’m so fickle!

well whatever this post is about one fact still stands .its bollocks.this is why.first we don’t need another rosiscky that is a player who spends the whole season injured and plus Owen is no greater than eduardo and another thing is that we don’t frigging need another striker.i even think vela is more reliable than Owen.the truth is Owens days in football are long gone.
Unless Michael Owen has somehow morphed into a towering centre-back or a rock-solid defensive midfielder, I’d say there was more chance of me being given the keys to Kate Moss.
Eduardo is a better player, but you don’t knwo what sort of player he’s going to be after his injury. Owen on a free is a decent signing
