After the fantastic win against Man United last week, us Arsenal fans were knocked straight back down to earth after witnessing the team lose 2-0 at home to Aston Villa, and the Premiership now completely out of our grasp. After Almunia saved a penalty from the classy Ashley Young early on, you thought this might just be our day but it wasn’t to be. Villa took the lead in the 70th minute, thanks to a Clichy own goal after a cross from Young. The second goal should never have been, Carlos Vela was clearly brought down on the edge of the box, only for Villa to break and make the most of the pace of Agbonlahor.
Bad news for Arsenal is that Bacary Sagna went down from an innocuous challenge, and will not be out for several weeks. Eboue will slot in at right back.
What this bad form means is that it’s unlikely we’ll sign a big name player in January. No point in getting a player cup-tied for the Champions League just to help the team finish 4th. It might mean the he will now throw in the likes of Ramsey, Wilshere and Vela but you never can tell with Wenger.
One thing that really pissed me off about yesterdays game was Fabregas’s attitude towards kicking an Aston Villa player. He fouled Gareth Barry, the ref calls play on and Fabregas stops playing to help out the injured Barry. He may be a nice guy, but to be honest, this isn’t the sort of player we need. Can you imagine a real competitor doing this? Say Vieira or Keane? No! This also lead to the penalty. And, if it was William Gallas who did the same thing we’d all be on his case. But not Fabregas, he’s our wonderboy who can do no wrong.
I think one thing we are coming accustomed to over the last few years, and that is Arsene Wenger is human after all. He cannot work miracles all the time.

hello, im getting very pissed of with all the bull shit articles i keep reading on these stupid arsenal sites, all this talk of the tittle being over is a load of rubish. a few weeks back we lose to stoke and every1 says the tittle is over, then we beat man u and all of a sudden its back on, now we lose to villa and its of again, YOU LOT ARE A BUNCH OF TWATS!!!. now it seems ive got a bit of inside information that no arsenal fan in the world seems to have and im gonna share it with you all, listen carfully and consentrate coz im not sure your little brains will get this straight away, THE TITTLE IS OVER WHEN WITH MATHEMATICALLY CANT CATCH THE TEAM IN 1ST POSITION, now did you all get that? sorry for the sarcasm but im getting fucked of with this shit, ok its not looking good right now but shit its only november, i garuntee u that the dick who wrote this story will at one stage in this season write another saying how we’re gonna win the tittle or we’ve atleast got a chance, this is football for fuck sake, things change and it aint over till its over………..

Ben, chill my man. If you read my article a week ago after the man utd win I said we still won’t win the title. It’s not about one performance, its about the quality of our squad and the fact is we’re not good enough. Donlt get me wrong, I’ll be cheering on Arsenal for the remainder of the season, but our hopes lie on the Champions League which I’ve always said we can win. Why? Because its a lottery and we are the most inconsistent team around right now.
I wasn’t being negative, I was being realistic. The title chase is over, accept it.
