ARSENAL 4-4 TOTTENHAM: GUTTED, HAPPY, ECSTATIC, OVER THE MOON, ANNOYED, AMAZED, SHOCKED, SUICIDAL

The heading says it all, that was my emotions and feelings within a 90 minute time frame. I’m not going to dwell too much on the game, because to be fair, we played well and it was only down to a couple of dodgy substitutions, nerves and failure to kill the game off. These things happen, Tottenham are still bottom of the league, move on. Full match report can be found here if you really want to read it.

You can take a few positives out of the game, the performance of Theo Walcott and Robin van Persie, and the ability to score from a set piece.

I told my mate the following before the game:

“If Almunia cost us £7m or so, we’d all be talking about how he’s the best keeper in the Premiership, as he never makes mistakes” OUCH!

“Robin van Persie is useless, he only plays well in a forward line consisting of three” WRONG AGAIN!

“Silvestre and Gallas look good together” BOOM!

“What’s the point of a corner, we may as well give the opponents a goal kick, we haven’t scored a corner since 1989″ I THINK YOU’RE GETTING THE DRIFT

I did say David Bentley would score so I was bang on with that. One out of five isn’t bad. David Bentley, what a cunt!! Is he the most hated player in the Premiership? Is he the new Teddy Sheringham? I think so.

If we’d have won last night I would’ve fancied us to win the Premiership this season, but only 4 minutes of sloppiness and you start worrying about us fighting for 4th place. My heart says we can still win the Premiership, but my head is going with Man United still. Liverpoool won’t win it, there arsehole’s will go soon, guaranteed

I’m off to find Emmanuel Adebayor and ask him if he ever fancies playing for Arsenal from the start!

To be honest, I personally don’t know if our boys are up for it (the championship) this yr. This yr is a yr of little room for sloppiness coz all the other big 3 are up for it – it’s tighter this yr. Now am not sure, I still think they can turn it around, and I have to take a wait and see attitude – that’s all I can say. Probably the 2nd half of the season could be the other way round for other teams, I don’t know. I will just take a seat back, and wait and see for the rest of the season – I don’t want to suffer the pain of loosing it like this.

  2. Rodwell, as you said, it is a very long season. But you do generally get a “feeling” when you have champions potential, and I’ve not really felt that for the past 2 seasons.
We’re in a good position, but we need to improve our consistency.

  3. well tell you what i think yesterday was shit it was because of our slopishness that we lost.why do we start passing the ball back wards when we are supposed to score? will somebody tell adebayor to stop passing backwards because i really blame him for the genas goal not clichy.and then i agree bentley isa cunt
if we go on like this then i think we are the fourth….again oh this is complete shit

  4. I can’t believe Thierry Henry reads my blog! I’m happy again now! ;)

ARSENAL lost to those neighbours bcoz of the manager’s stubbornness. We can only challenge for the title if the manager drops almunia who doesnt stay on his line, fabi would do better until wenger brings in somebody in january.

Never use silvestre again djourou and toure are available and never again start with an all French back line.

Toure and djourou should always start one alongside gallas the other alongside fabregas.

Diaby is fit enough and more skillful to start ahead of Ade who would play well from the bench. RvP would shine coming from the right.

When available Risicky and Eduardo should go straight into the first 11. In January we need a keeper and def.midfielder.

Any were that result left me sick and looking for consolation from somewhere it was very, i don’t know how to describe it now i’m afraid of the future.

    disappointment

  7. I actually thought Silvestre played well. The main reason we lost was the negative substitutes. No idea why we bought on Song, Eboue and Diaby for Nasri, van Persie (best player on the park) and Walcott (second best player)!!

  8. Óttar

Yeah I couldnt agree more with that last comment, if we have kept being a little agreessive and determined at the front with walcott special on the pitch we would have kept the advantage !

  9. Russo

Totally agree with you chaps. Bad subs from Arsene, we are never good at going defensive and defending a lead. it’s not our game.
