A ridiculously young Arsenal side have beaten Sheffield United 6-0 in the Carling Cup. The full match report can be found here.
Vela scored a great hat-trick, and all 6 goals were very good. You can see all the goals here.
Sheffield United fielded a very strong, experienced side with the likes of James Beattie, Gary Speed, Lee Hendrie, Chris Morgan and Paddy Kenny all featuring for Yorkshire outfit.
The average age of the Arsenal side was 19, and I’m sure a convincing win like this will have the likes of Vela, Ramsey and Wilshere banging on the first team door for Saturday’s game against Hull.
I worry that we’re peaking too early this season, but that generally worries me every season. I think I’ll be naturally worried if we were 10 points clear in the Premiership with 3 games remaining.

Some great goals there. Vela’s second goal was fantastic, the touch and finish were superb. Cant wait to see him in the first team.

hey, scott i miss your usual assessment of players-a mark out 10 – or it’s because all were excellent. Anyway, those were great goals, the boys displayed their capability. Vela should play more really, Ramsey and Jack are so good
