Barcelona star Yaya Toure turned down the chance of joining Arsenal in the summer, after Arsene Wenger enquired after the young Ivory Coast midfielder.
Wenger and brother Kolo Toure both asked Yaya to join the ranks at Arsenal, but he was very happy and has no intention of leaving Barcelona.
“Wenger, as well as my brother told me to join Arsenal during the summer, but I answered them that I was happy at Barcelona,” Toure told RAC-1.
It’s clear that Wenger has been chasing a defensive midfielder, and it was probably just down to bad luck and bad timing that we never signed a big player during the transfer window. We’ve been linked with every midfielder in the world, and there is no smoke without fire.
I’ll stress time and time again, I’ll be happy for Alex Song to be our defensive midfielder this season, he’s a terrier and that’s exactly what we need. Am I the only person who thinks Denilson is pony???
In other news, Tottenham fans have been shocked tonight at the news that the club have won a game.

We don’t need Yaya Toure, we don’t need anyone. We are fine with Denilson and Song filling in that role, and Diaby when if ever fit.

Yaya toure is a fantastics player and we could do with him at arsenal. he would add steel and a calm to the midfield. we should do what we can to get him
