ARSENAL CHASING PALACE STAR

We’re after another 17-year-old, this time it’s Victor Moses from Crystal Palace, and the full report is here.

With Simon “Sunbed” Jordan still seething from the supposedly cheap sale of John Bostock to Tottenham, you can’t imagine they would want to lose another gem so soon.

We’re also being linked to Man City youngster Michael Johnson for a reported fee of £12m. For me, he’s not the replacement for Flamini. We need a defensive midfielder who can actually tackle and get the team going, just like Flamini did. Johnson is more a box-to-box midfielder, but I would like to see us sign an enforcer, someone who strikes fear into opponents before the game has even started, Vieira and Keane like. Is such a player on the marker? I’m sure Wenger and his scouting network are aware of one.

Meanwhile, Paul Robinson has signed for Blackburn for £3.5m, which has complete fucked up my rumour from a “reliable source”. Bollocks!!!

I watched The Dark Knight last night and I thought it was OK. Heath Ledger stole the show, but everyone knows that already. Anyway, after watching the film, I came up with a new lookalike.

Does anyone know what happened to the Batman star after being arrested for allegedly assaulting his mother and sister? Last I heard he was out on “bale”!!! On that note……

  • that is a cute picture of enforcer~
so, that crystal palace kid was the “reasonable target” ?
    that just sounds like wenger

  • right on with the classic enforcer dm. no doubt, but who? if sulley muntari could have been molded into a dm i wish we would have got him, muntari is quality and i rate him on a par to essien but more defensive. wenger should sneak in ala’ ramsey and snatch him away from jose, brilliant. alas, wenger magic in the transfer market is likely to be contrained by inadequate financing. have you heard that our shirt deal is worth one third of manu and chels’ shirt deals on a per annum basis, who the hell is managing the books at afc?, wenger can’t do everything.

  • I wouldn’t be suprised if Moses was the reasonable target Wenger was talking about. I bloody hope not though!!!

It’s worrying about the shirt deal, where did you read about this one Dan?

  • the shirt deal info was on the goonernews.com site, which has been down the last day or so, tried to find it again to provide the link. the daily telegraph has an old article that lays down the beginning of the problem. but the actual article spelled it out quite well, with the problem being afc refusal to renegotiate long term contracts, which is according to peter hw, afc doesn’t do, totally naive and irresponsible to the club. the other sides mentioned simply bought out there contracts and renegiated higher ones with other more eager sponsors.

  • Sounds interesting. If anyone can find the article, please post a link.

    Thanks Dan.

  • scott, go to the fucking arsenal blog, there’s commentary on the article in question.

  • scott, the link is http://fucking-arsenal.blogspot.com/, artilce written by a chap called myles. illuminating in a somewhat tragic way i’m afraid.
