Now that France are out of the Euros, you can only assume Samir Nasri will sign for Arsenal very soon. Personally, I’m glad France are out, so we can get this done and dusted, and I’m glad Nasri didn’t have a good tournament as one of the so called bigger clubs would’ve come in for him.
According to the daily tube read Metro, we’re interested in Swiss international midfielder Gökhan Inler. The full article can be found here. I’ve never heard of him, so I’m sure this is true. We won’t be signing Makoun, and it’s very unlikely that we’ll sign Yaya Toure, so we’ll sign a player nobody has heard of, and he’ll become the best midfielder in the world after 2-3 years.
Not a Euro 2008 failure, but we’re being linked to Lukas Podolski again, and surprisingly our little chavvy neighbours are also trying to sign him. I wonder if Wenger is really taking Tottenham on a wild goose chase and earmaking future stars, knowing full well Tottenham will spend big to sign them and they turn out to be complete turkeys. Zakora and Bent spring to mind. I guarantee Giovani Dos Santos will start the season amazingly, and after 6 games the complacency and eagerness kick in and we’ll never hear from him again. Malouda and Aaron Lennon style.
Latest news irrelevant to Arsenal – Paul Ince is the favourite for the Blackburn job. And I fancy Italy for Euro 2008.
Arsenal News 24/7

we’re being linked to Andrei Arshavin now. Great player but at 27 he’s too old for Wenger.
Euro 2008 is getting silly with media speculation.
ashavin has looked good but a player who has one good season at the age of 27 seems like a bit of a one-off. had anyone heard of him before the uefa cup final?
podolski is famous for having said
“football is like chess, only without dice”
yep!
So he’s an absolute plank.
