A TALE OF THREE FRENCHMEN, AND A MENTAL AUSTRALIAN!

So, we haven’t signed Samir Nasri just yet, but I’m not getting too worried.

Lyon are clearly hanging on to sign Pjanic from Metz before selling Ben Arfa to Marseille or Arsenal, which would free up Nasri going to Arsenal, and possibly Hleb going to Barcelona or Real, and possibly Robinho leaving Real? Have Barcelona got any decent wingers anyone wants to sign in this merry-go-round? Clearly Deco and Ronadinho are off so I wouldn’t be surprised to see about 23 transfers between clubs on the same day soon. Hopefully, this is the case and it’s not a matter of Nasri’s agent waiting for a bigger offer, which would worry me as Wenger would not get into a bidding war.

According to a number of reports, we’re close to singing two French kids. Shock!! Clement Chantome, 22 and Francis Coquelin, 17 could be on their way to the Emirates soon. Clearly Chantome would be the replacement for Flamini, and not Veloso or Makoun as most of us would’ve wished for. We have faith in Wenger though, and I’m sure whoever he signs will be a success. At 22, Chantome is not going to be signed to sit in the reserves for two seasons before given a chance, I think we’ll be seeing a lot of him next season.

Finally, goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer has decided to snub offers from Juventus and Bayern Munich in favour of a move to….. Fulham!!!

“There were offers on the table but the only thing that mattered to me was regular first-team football”

I don’t know about you, but I’d be over the moon to be sitting on the bench watching Juventus every week, and earning a nice little packet. You never know, you may even get a couple of games. Quite frankly I wouldn’t care. This is one player I’m wishing did a Flamini and fucked off for the money. I bet he didn’t tell his wife he turned down a move to Turin for Fulham.

Only one new lookalike today. Hollywood funny man Julio Arca.
